ICE HOCKEY TIME!

I went to an ice hockey game with my sister yesterday. I was more excited than I expected.
At first, I had no clue on the rule...but then I knew some basic rules.
There are six players per side: five players (3 forwards and 2 defencemen) and one goaltender. The objective is to shoot the puck into the opponent's goal net. Players control the puck using a long stick with a blade and can redirect with any part of their bodies including feet (of course just redirect, no kicking or batting).
There is a last important part which is penalties. Since it is a violent game, fighting and getting hurt are obviously involved. A two-minute minor penalty is often called for lesser infractions such as tripping, elbowing, roughing, high-sticking...a four-minute double-minor penalty, particularly those which (inadvertently) cause injury to the victimized player. Five-minute major penalties are called for especially violent instances of most minor infractions that result in intentional injury to an opponent, as well as for fighting.
I watched 3 periods of game, and the last 2 periods was involved so much fighting and arguement. The audience was so nervous including myself. The rush of scoring at the last minutes was amazing. The crowd screaming carried my heart out of my chest and into the air. Many sticks around the goalies, offense, and defence catched your eyes for the whole time.
My sister and I was supporting the Flying Cupcake which her friend, Patrick, was on. The Flying Cupcake was such a interesting name. I just heard my sister mentioned it once and I could never forget. A picture of a flying cupcake immediately popped up in my mind. Besides from the great name, the team included all the great players specially Patrick. You could definitely recognize him without me telling you he was carrying the number 17, since he was the tallest player in the team. I liked the way he catched the puck everytime it was passed to him. How could that be possible? The puck slided so fast on the ice even my eyes couldnt follow it. The way he moved from one side to another to avoid the opponent players from stealing the puck. He had such a great ice hockey skills that I couldnt deny it. GO!GO! Patrick! You Rock!
If I didnt care of getting hurt, and breaking a few bones, I would definitely join an ice hockey team. hehehe..........
